Farzi Cafe is known for experimenting with food and presentation and they are good at it. I have been to Farzi Cafe many times and even blogged about it. This visit and post is about the summer menu at Farzi Cafe which has been introduced with new additions to their regular menu.
Starting my meal with soup, I loved Avocado mint gazpacho with jeera namak para. The soup is very filling.
My favorite starters were Curd rice tikki chat with dragon scoop and besan pears, a mix of sweet and sour was a perfect balance of taste. Black sesame chicken Tikka served with sesame Ash, tender juicy chicken makes it a must try here. And for those who enjoy a refreshing chicken then Santre wala chicken tikka will be my pick.
Children should love to enjoy some Panch poran paneer bhurji tart, it is absolutely mild in taste. While Desi curd poppers with smoked tomato chutney wasn’t something different compared to other dishes, but it was most loved among the other people on the table. Harrisa Spice Paneer Tikka lacked the spice required.
For main course, my favourite veg option is Paneer ghee roast appam, it is spicy and the chutneys served with it made it a complete meal.
Next favourite is Dal khichdi risotto with papad crisp achari butter. It is farzi’s take on khichdi with arborio rice, must try and a perfect comfort meal. It was an instant hit with everyone.
In non veg, I enjoyed Andhra chill chicken on thatte idli, it is more spicier than paneer ghee roast and tasty. Instantly fell in love with it.
Main course stole my heart more than starters in thus visit and I was just waiting for desserts which is one of the highlights of the restaurant.
My favourite dessert is Flourless chocolate cake with tanguery mousse and orange crumb, the tanguery mousse with sweet chocolate cake was a perfect combination for dessert.
Next best dessert is Fenni nest with Chenna balls served with flavoured milk. The flavoured milk isn’t too sweet which is perfect for my taste buds. It is an instagrammable dessert.
The only dessert which did not work with me was Peanut butter mousse taco with banana kulfi and caramelised banana. I guess the other 2 desserts just raised my expectation which made me avoid this dessert.
Farzi Cafe has also come up with some new mocktails and cocktails, inform the bartender about your taste and preference and sip their special cocktail/mocktail.
Overall, Farzi Cafe has nailed it again at experimenting with food and presentation has been top notch too. Hope this post helps you in deciding your order when you visit Farzi Cafe.
